Make Your Own Canvas Embellishments

In this post I'll share how I made my own canvas embellishments using digitals + Canva free design software.

One of the most popular items from the Ali Edwards//December Daily 2021 product release was the canvas word phrases. They sold out super quick!! Oh no...here comes FOMO! Not to worry, in this post I'm showing how you can easily make your own using the digital file in Canva.

Supplies you'll need:

  • Digital File

  • Printable Inkjet Canvas Paper (Amazon)

  • Canva Account (you can use Canva for free)

  • 4x6 Printer (I love using this one)

In the video below I walk you through the easy steps to create these fun word strips to embellish your scrapbook pages.

Before printing, I cut down the full 8.5 x 11 sheet of canvas paper into three 4x6 sections. This way I'm not wasting a full sheet of canvas just for this small project. Here's what they look like after they were printed on my Epson PM-400 photo printer. If you have larger printer that has a photo paper tray it should work as well.

Using the light gray lines as a guide, I cut the canvas into long word strips, with my paper cutter, (to make sure I got straight lines) then used small scissors to trim each section.
